Dis-Placed: Space, Settlement, and Agency

This article introduces the special issue ‘Dis-placed’. Questioning term ‘refugee’ as an identity marker and pointing at problematic connotations it embodies, explores spatial forms of refugee experience. The knowledge space, produced within disciplines such geography, urban planning, architecture, is deployed by states to limit movements forced migrants across national borders. In response, calls for social/spatial justice, arguing that this can only be achieved through blurring boundaries between host identities. contributions in present investigations on different facets spatiality migration various disciplinary approaches methodologies.
